Leftovers Music Ministry
The Leftovers
consist of a committed group of
seven musicians who volunteer to
play music in rest homes and hospitals for seniors. They have
been doing this continually for seven years averaging one
hundred or more engagements yearly in Tuolumne County. On
special occasions they play outside the county.
Each performance runs from two hours to two and a half hours. They have been recognized by other agencies and radios stations for their efforts in the community. They have also played at the Senior Center often in the past. Presently they play at the Senior Lounge on Fridays to rehearse new songs

and polish older material.
The Leftovers
play predominantly classic western, gospel, popular, and
folk music. They offer male and female vocals, banjo, guitar,
mandolin, harmonica, drums, and piano with an extensive
repertoire to inspire the residents and patients to move around
to the extent of their abilities. The audiences are
encouraged to make requests of their favorite
songs that bring back happy memories to them.
The Leftovers are energized and motivated when they get the seniors singing dancing, tapping their feet, clapping or just getting the sparkle back in the audiences eyes. To know we've brightened their routine is enough to keep the Leftovers committed to giving their best on every song of each engagement while keeping it fun, as we feel the seniors deserve no less.
